Fabulicious!, the family cookbook written by Teresa Guidice. |
For those who aren't aware, Sergio & Co. Italian Specialties lost over $150,000 in food and equipment, so his loyal customers are helping to raise money on his behalf, to help him rebuild. Our Save Sergio & Co. page on facebook received over 1,700 likes in just over a week. There have been many small, independent fundraisers (including Stella & Dot, Ward Vogt Designs, and Keys to Learning), and we've received over $7,000 in personal donations since September 1. Having Teresa Guidice come sign her books would get tons of fans to the fundraiser, raise some money (as we would have a minimum donation fee of $5 per person to attend), and take it over the top. Perfect.
I found out that a friend I went to high school with is friends with Teresa, so I asked her to pitch the idea for me, which she graciously did (thanks Jeanne). I anxiously wait to hear back from her, hoping that Teresa will come and do the signing. She lives locally and seems to have a very generous heart, so I am hoping that will increase the chances of her coming to do the signing. What an honor and thrill it would be to have Teresa come and do a book signing for Sergio's!
Cross your fingers and say a little prayer that Teresa will do it. If she does, I promise to post it right away, so that we can have a big turnout, and a great event.

Teresa? No way! I would love that. I have seen her husband at the Montville Inn. Don't they all live in Montville? Perfect. It's a five minute drive for her and we all would love to meet her. Plus, after the way Bravo is making her look so bad, it would be good PR, right?

SHUT UP! She rules! Can we bring our books that we already bought at the bookstore, or would you sell them there? We need to make We Love Teresa shirts, and get a picture with her. Make them for me, you and MK. Sound like a plan? Oh, and you have to get newspaper coverage. Call me if you need help. Wait, I completely forgot that she hasn't agreed... yet. Say a prayer, and believe. All things are possible.
ReplyDeleteLove ya,

Hey Teresa! Will begging help???? We are not above that!!!! LOL!!! If we may add something here, going to Sergio's was more like going to your cousin's house for Sunday dinner than going into a store. Less arguing and no after dinner snoozing on the couches, though. His customers are all anxiously awaiting his return...when he re-opens, please come by...we will buy you lunch. Many thanks for considering helping out our friend and neighbor-

Yes, Joi and John! It's true. My house was an Italian home, and we fought at every single meal! Sergio's was the best italian food and people but no fighting. I want him to come back. TERESA, WE WILL BE FOREVER INDETTED TO YOU!!! I'm with Joi and John. We will buy you lunch when he reopens! If you had visited it his restaurant, you'd want to help. YOU WOULD LOVE HIM -- SUCH A FAMILY MAN. Please come! PRETTY PAALEEZE?

I will be so there if she comes. She did a signing at Surprises In Store last year, or the year before, and I met her there. She was so nice!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great idea. If not, maybe Montville Melissa (Gorga) can come sing On Display, and sign her CDs. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI have seen Teresa around a lot. I would love to actually meet her tho. I'd donate and buy a couple of books (great christmas presents).
Whoa! Keep the comments coming. I will keep you all posted if I hear anything.
ReplyDeleteSo, Teresa, that's two lunches and Sergio will throw in an espresso. C'mon over.

A double espresso, with a lemon peel.
ReplyDeleteItalians know how to do it right, food and all! Teresa, you'd be a wonderful woman to have in our corner rallying to Save Sergio & Co. Hmmm... if we don't hear back soon, we may have to resort to begging!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love her so much! I hope she comes. I would be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteI'm in! Hey Teresa....I'll come to your book signing (and I've never seen your TV show).BUT Sunday Italian at nannies house in the Bronx....well I can still smell it 40 years later.
ReplyDeleteAwww come on....if not You WHO?
Sounds like a terrific idea!!! I am sure that she would if she found out about it. You should try and find out who does her schedule for the signings, maybe they can arrange something.
ReplyDeleteI did. I talked to a very good friend of hers, who was my friend way back in high school. I am waiting to hear back from her. Called her publicist, too. I will keep you posted.
ReplyDeleteOh, let me know the date. I want to be first in line!!
